I thought I would share some notes I took in my sketchbook. This is by no means a finished piece or at all representative of the event - but it shows the process by which I'm processing what I gleaned from all the panels and speakers. Hope you enjoy, even if it's hard to read.

#ComicNY Pt. 2
I had the fortune of attending the Comic New York Symposium at Columbia
University over the weekend. As I said in an earlier post, it was two
days in comics heaven. Thanks to Karen Green and all the organizers for
making it happen and to panelists and comic legends that graced the
stage.

If you want to be a cartoonist, show up to the party. And on a regular basis -Dean Haspiel
What a great quote! It's so easy to forget that if we don't get out there with our work, not only will it not get better, but it will be harder for people to care :) Looks like you had a great time, and got to soak in some awesomeness. Thanks for sharing!
It's amazing that you put your observations into detailed and memorable drawings on the event you attended. Well done!
