Halloween is not my favorite. Bah, humbug.

Hurricane Landings
Well wishes to those affected by yesterday's storm and big thanks to everyone working tirelessly around the clock to put the city back together again.
From my window, I could see birds clinging to the tops of trees, but first they had to land...

Hurricane Pick-up Lines
A second cartoon for the day, just for laughs. Pick-up line brilliantly conceived by my friend Ali Hawkins :)
When I started cartooning a year ago, I posted this one about how New Yorkers prepare for a hurricane.
Storm's a-brewin'. Stay safe, fellow East Coasters.

Mommy Aerialist
This one is for my friends Stacey and Pascal in South Africa -- who are due any minute now! Judging from the parents, I imagine the baby will have a few tricks up its sleeves :)

At Least It's Friday
As comedian Mike Birbiglia would say, my dreams are so much better than my life right now.
BUT as I would say --

Today's cartoon is inspired by a classic Seinfeld episode where George gets set up on a blind date ;)

A Status Message a Day #115
I missed a day of cartooning, but the good news is jury duty turned into one of the best New York days ever.

Social Media Flirt
This was a throw-away joke. Brought it back for today's cartoon. Some ideas are totally superfluous and I'm fine with that.

The Gifting Rituals of Autumn
Argh! I neglected to replace my broken scanner and it is biting me in the butt this week.
I'll have to properly scan and repost this cartoon later, but here's a peek. It's the best I could manage today, from a photograph of the line work.
A bit late for Mid-Autumn Festival, but moon cakes last forever.

Phases of Moon Cake
Yesterday was Mid-Autumn Festival, a Chinese lunar harvest holiday, when families gather and feast and celebrate the season. Traditionally, moon cakes (a rich pastry made of lotus or red bean paste, often containing a salted duck yolk) are gifted and eaten with tea during this occasion. If you celebrate, hope you had a very happy ä¸ç§‹ç¯€.
This is the first panel of a longer cartoon I'm working on about this tradition. Hope to post today or tomorrow.
