Phases of Moon Cake

Yesterday was Mid-Autumn Festival, a Chinese lunar harvest holiday, when families gather and feast and celebrate the season. Traditionally, moon cakes (a rich pastry made of lotus or red bean paste, often containing a salted duck yolk) are gifted and eaten with tea during this occasion. If you celebrate, hope you had a very happy 中秋節.

This is the first panel of a longer cartoon I'm working on about this tradition. Hope to post today or tomorrow.
