Where Ideas Come From

(In other words: I don't know.)

Some writer say that's their internal editor at work: an idea good enough to keep is one you'll remember after the shower is done, and the rest are best forgotten. On the other hand, I take notes in the steam on the shower door.

I have these shower notepads. They work great.

Happens to me too. Tunes and lyrics come to me in the shower. I have a little digital recorder and sometimes I step out of the shower and hum, sing or dictate what just came to me so I can finish the shower in peace. (I had the shower notepads too, but I like the recorder better.)
