As someone in my early thirties, I consider myself less of a grown-ass adult and more as a particularly late blooming adolescent with an evolving fashion senese :)- Zooey
Bitterness, I can understand. I am, I guess a bit older than you Connie but, I have come to the conclusion that dating and being in relationships just come easy for some, in society. I have had difficulties dating all of my life but, one of the elders of my church ...a widower in his late 60s maybe 70s ... is dating!! It hit me so hard that all I could do was laugh. It seems some days I find myself surrounded by late teenagers getting married and senior citizens actively dating. Last week I was waiting in a grocery checkout line, bracketed by two couples....shudders, I thought going to a movie alone was the worst until last week.. So...
Bitterness, I can understand. Good luck Connie and hopefully you find love. It's so many of us lost out on the ocean but, one day I hope all of us will come here and see your drawing the scene of your wedding day.

Grown-ass adult means that when you visit a new city you are way too tired to ever condider clubbing.
