That's funny. For my mom it was almost the same. Lemon and onion tea and then she would pile every heavy blanket, in the house, on top of you. She would call it "sweating the cold out of you". My sister and me would say it was "make it as hard as possible for the kid to breath. Then the cold would abandon ship for fear that we were about to die from being crushed to death".
