The elephant is the gross and unloved part of you? That make sense. BUT it is also true that the elephant is SUPER CUTE and everybody loves her! So... apply that to your metaphor. :)
Once you can do that, Connie, you're well on the way to happiness.A lot of people who have superficially "successful" lives have never hugged their elephant.
