Indeed you are. I've been married for 34 years and while we love each other, you soon learn that what makes "everything OK" is the working through it. When I get depressed or unhappy, he just kind of stands there and looks at me. I figured it out; he's not American, he wasn't taught to say the nice little nothings like, "It'll be OK" or "it's not you" or "don't worry." He honestly doesn't know what to say, so he keeps shtum. I guess it helps me learn to deal. No one is responsible for my emotional reaction to whatever; there comes a time when we have to stop making others responsible for our own anger, depression etc.
