Agatha Christie put it best: "Most successes are unhappy. That's why they are successes--they have to reassure themselves about themselves by achieving something that the world will notice...The happy people are failures because they are on such good terms with themselves that they don't give a damn."

As a charter member of the Not Terribly Good Club, I have found that giving yourself permission to fail is very freeing. It frees you from being one of those uptight perfectionists who suffocate without constant external validation and applause.
Connie, I wish you took more interest in your blog. Posting new drawings is fine, and we know better than to expect you to reply to any comments, but now you're getting spammed. And your faithful readers are getting inboxes full of spam notifications. Don't you care anymore?
@annainspain and all, Thanks very much for reading and relating all these years. I'm sorry you are receiving spam notifications. Not sure how to fix that, but I've removed the subscription buttons.

I dunno about "fail". More like finding a proper fit.
Well, then I'm glad you failed at so many things and not at making cartoons :)
