It does matter, yes. Every vote counts. As we used to say back in the sixties, if you don't vote you lose the right to complain about the government. For evil to truimph, it is sufficient that good people do nothing. Exercise your franchise.
Voting for the "lesser of two evils" is still a vote for evil. There are more than just two choices! Check the alternative party candidates; the Libertarian, Gary Johnson, may be a very good alternative to More Evil and Less Evil. https://www.johnsonweld.com/
Unfortunately the needle moves backwards whoever wins this November. Remember how the electoral college works and vote accordingly, though. If you're in a swing state, vote for the lesser evil. If you're not in a swing state, vote for someone you like so that maybe we'll get better candidates next time.
