Introverts travel too, they just do it alone. Watching a documentary on NHK World they showed a youngish man who said he liked to travel the small local train lines on islands he didn't know on his vacation time. He was alone: no group, no family members, no girl/boyfriend, just himself. In Japan, this is a big deal.
How the man managed to interview him, I don't know. He was obviously a bit uneasy, but perhaps his love of trains overcame that.
