Mid-Autumn festival is a holiday associated with family reunions, seeing old friends, and pretending to like mooncake.
Since many of us are physically distant from loved ones this year, let us be extra kind to ourselves and our neighbors.
Yes, there’s a lot to be angry about and we need to vote, but also let’s be kind. I am also trying my best.

I had to look up "moon cakes". I see that they can be made with an ice cream filling and other yummy non traditional flavors. I've had bean curd dusted with sugar as a dessert--good too.
Happy Mid Autumn--enjoy the colors, everyone. And yes, be kind to all!
Well the first days are the hardest days, don't you worry anymore
'Cause when life looks like easy street, there is danger at your door
Think this through with me, let me know your mind
Woah-oh, what I want to know, is are you kind?

I like mooncakes and I'm not Asian. Though it shocked the life out of me when I read the label and found out how many calories are in one--no wonder they're meant to be shared!
Yes, be extra kind. They made all their brags about how this situation was going to "bring us together" and maybe for some it has, but for others, their reactions are getting a little frayed now. I emailed a friend to see if she got my previous message due to computer changes here, and she snapped my head off. I wrote again explaining why I had asked, and got a very snippy reply "well I'll make sure to acknowledge receipt each time." I know it's not me, and I shouldn't take delivery on her anger because I don't know what's going on in her house, but it stung. Still does a bit.
