Celebrate the Ice Cream Cones (Mini Milestones)

Reminder to myself that it is okay to be a work in progress, as long as I keep trying to move forward.

Cartoon text: "It can take time to figure yourself out. Change is hard for a lot of us. Don't forget to celebrate the mini milestones. If you got through the day, you did GREAT."

If anyone else wants to celebrate with ice cream, I am here for it.

Basic Yogi

Elephant is right: I do spend too much time sitting on my butt these days.

The older I get, the less cooperative my body wants to be.

Every little bit counts though. When I remember to take the time, exercise and yoga help with mental health wellness too. Hope you are taking care of yourselves a little bit everyday.

Sketchbook: Snowman Indignity

A peed-on, melting snowman tries to hold on to its dignity.

Just for fun sketchbook drawing for a wintry-mix Monday. If you are unfamiliar with this scenario, dogs love the snow.

Long Stretch of Lonely

This continues to be a long stretch of lonely for a lot of people. If you've been alone for a long time like me, you know that, sometimes, it hits like a ton of bricks.

Be well, stay strong, hug a pillow, and have some chocolate.

Anti-Asian Hate Crimes On Top Of Everything Else

Because of the recent spike in violence and discrimination against Asians, these are sad and difficult conversations that many of us in communities of color have had to have throughout the pandemic - about hate - on top of everything else.

As a reference point, this is a 2016 diary comic I drew in a different time.)

If you witness a hate crime, you can report it here https://stopaapihate.org

Humans Have The Weirdest Imaginations

Ox over the moon for Lunar new year. I wonder why elephants aren't a zodiac animal.

This started as a series of 4 separate illustrations that I threaded together.

Hope you have a restful weekend. Happy lunar new year of the ox if you celebrate ^_^

Snow day elephant company. A sketchbook drawing of an elephant made of snow. I didn't make one with snow, but anything can happen in comics.

Weeks That Feel Like A Hundred Paper Cuts

For days and weeks that feel like this, I need to stop, breathe, and take a moment.

Hope you do something nice for yourself this weekend. I will also try.

Thanks for reading.

Sketchbook: Managing Depression

Managing mental health is a continuous, ongoing practice, I am learning.

New sketchbook comic about the cyclical nature of managing ups and downs.

If you too, hope you can find relief in small acts of self-care, like going for a walk, cooking a nice meal, or reaching out to someone you trust. I need a serotonin boost myself!

Well, I Think I'm A Fun Person

However, "fun" is a strong word. ;)

I did end up going outside to stomp in snow on Monday, but no snowball fights.

I've been focused on writing stories, but still trying to draw a little everyday.

Thanks for reading along and for your patience

Cozy Is Boring

Just for fun introvert cartoon about cozy days indoors and how sometimes cozy is boring for some.

Heavy snow fall on the East Coast today. If you too, hope you are able to stay bundled and warm. Thanks to those who are braving the storm to keep things safe and running.
