Motivation to get work done is seasonal. In other words, there are excuses for every season.

Spring lasts about a month on the East Coast. It will shortly be too Summer to work or do anything else for that matter.
We just had three or four days' return to winter temperatures, which yesterday included driving cold rain. By the end of the week we're expected to have summer temperatures. This region has no sense of proportion whatsoever.

Humanity seems to have broken the weather and seasonality, as we grew up with it as well.
