I redrew this comic today to declare my love of kombucha. Cheers!
[2-panel comic of a cartoon girl with a braid, looked harried and holding a gigantic, filled wine glass, almost as tall as she is. In panel 1, she says "I'm ready for my weekend now." In panel 2, an elephant enters the frame and notes, "You don't drink." She responds, deadpan: "It's kombucha." New version of an older 2021 illustration by the same artist in 2022. It’s cold, dark and rainy. Dropped food off at a homeless shelter. Drove home in the dark. Wine sounds like a good idea. Be well, Connie and Anna!
Thank you, Robert. Same wishes for you. Here, the rain was well received because of the drought. More rain in the past 2 weeks than in the past year, but it's not really enough.
I'm always a bit confused. Kombucha = fermented drink that requires a scoby (name given to the "critter" that makes it ferment). Kombu cha = Japanese infusion of kombu seaweed used as the basis of kombu dashi broth, or simply drunk as is.
Happy holidays, whatever you might celebrate, to all of you!
